I wish that were all there is to it Ginny, but we have friends here in Reno.
He is one of UScA's breed wardens and president of the local club. They are
also concerned in that their club is restricting judges from judging for the
WDA, has become a registry in competition with AKC and is similarly asking
their members to register only with UScA and has specifically voiced their
desire to become the North American representative to the world of the GSD's
as opposed to GSDCA. This move to control the GSD world sounds serious to
the point of some backlash within the UScA. Sounds like they want the GSDCA
to continue its relationship to AKC as we both slip quietly into history,
leaving them as the sole conqueror of the real GSD world.
I am not sure whither to laugh or consider this a declaration of war! I fear
it is the latter.
But then, I've over reacted before...
