It is not a beautiful day. It is cold. How cold is it? I saw an attorney
and it is so cold, he had his hand in his own pocket.
This is the Rochester New York Club, and a great group.
The location is great. Large flat ring, in the middle of a big farm. It is
only a mile from down.town Seneca Falls. Seneca Falls is where the women's
movement started and they have signs all over. It is a great little upstate
city, buildings from the 1900s and lots of river property. It is the town that
inspired It's a Wonderful Life, and it looks just like you would expect.
First person we saw was Norma Handsberg, she went to raly and got a leg.
Now she has a leg to stand on. Georgie is here, and I got to say hello to Bob
and Carole Moore. Bobby is filming and I saw Don Shot, and also Leslie and
Donna came by to say hello. The high point so far is seeing Bob Dresher, (The
Voice of The National) and meeting his main squeeze. I heard about her, but
never met her, a major babe.
Alex is here to handle, and I did talk to Al Martin who drove his brother's
Jaguar convertible, Iza is here and has nice dogs too. Susie Witmer is here
and I did get a minute with her. Dean Wyylie and Tish are here too, and he
said hello. Charly Mardez stopped to talk for a minute, and said he will be
in California soon, I will ty to get together, he is a great person. The
Barbashs are here too, and I did get to just exchange health ideas with Edie
Trokie, and then went to the car to warm up. It is still overcast,a nd there
is
a breeze, that does no one any good, except for the dogs, that seem to love
it. How smart can they be?

By the end of the day, the sun came out, the birds began to sing, and light
was all over the earth. The wind died down, and it was a perfect day for a dog
show. Donna C came by to talk for a while and I did listen to Susan
Whitmore and got to repeat my story about her and the biker. (Ask her).
I saw a lot of nice dogs, and some great ones. The Winner's Bitch is a
superstar, and of couse,l Dancing Doll is tops. Of course the puppy was worth
the
trip, and a couple of others as well.
We had fun, Tedi did her usual great job, but is now in pain, and so we will
miss the dinner and head right to Rochester. We have an early flight out
tomorrow morning, so back to
California. The next show is me judging in San Francisco.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
