Since I have had so many people request this, I am posting it to the list.
Scootie gave this to me back in the late 80's or early 90's.
Keep pup in as much sun as possible.
Feed Science Diet Adult Light ( or any very low protein food you can find)
Prozyme
Maalox- 200 mg. tablet A.M. & P.M.
Selenium-1/2 adult dosage A.M. & P.M.
Vit C-250 mg. A.M. & P.M.
Vit E- 400 mg. A.M. & P.M.
Personally, since raising my puppies on low protein diet's I have not had a
problem in any of my litters. Maybe it's low protein, maybe bloodlines have
progressed. Whether this formula helps or you just let nature take it's course,
I don't know that either. The last girl I had that was down in the pasterns I
got from another breeder when she was already down. She was back up somewhere
between 8-10 months.
