As a newbie, I don't think anyone really said anything that was harsh. They
presented her with a view that was different than hers. I found it encouraging
that there were people who were trying to tell her that everything had not gone
to pot, there are some problems with dogs and people. But there are also good
dogs and good people, and you can get what you want out of it. Any other reply
would have been confirming the negativity. If she really wants answers, then
she will listen. If she wants to believe whatever she wants to believe, then
she will make it a self fulfilling prophecy.
