The PC being in disarray had one person I know for sure leave the breed. I
have a friend who just yesterday bought a dog to show. Not a GSD but a
Standard Poodle. Not that he did not have success in GSD. He had a GVX

Wants no part of it. His leaving has nothing to do with economy. He will

Another consideration is how the PC show committee behaved last year. They
had 3 incidents at the Nationals. Two they did nothing because the people
were in the right clique. The other person who was not in the right
clique
and for using the F word on the show grounds they went after her as if
they
were a pack of mad pit bulls. So if you go to the Nationals watch your
P's
& Q's because you may be their next victim. They went after this person
for
apx 7 months until they finally got a $100.00 fine. They had suspended
her
but she was lucky enough to get an immediate stay from AKC so she was
able
to continue to show her animals at last years Nationals. Had she not got
the "STAY" all her entries would have had to be absent. I may be wrong
but I
don't think you will see her at this years Nationals. So here is another
part to the puzzle along with many other factors as to why the entries
are
down.

So the real question, why is a popular breed such as shepherds, being
hammered in entries while the "not so popular breeds" like wheatens,
waterdogs and vizlas numbers are strong for their nationals... and
sadly, does anyone really care???

Are wheatens, waterdogs et al shown by their owners? Do their their
handlers (if they have them)
get paid the same $$$ that ours do? (I AM NOT bashing handlers--I
LOVE and NEED handlers.
Always have, always will.) Do they have monthly magazines that
suddenly in mid-year decide not to wrap their magazines? Do they have
streaming video of their Nationals that was free last year but not
this year? Are their clubs in the political disarray that ours
appears to be in?
These are just questions. I don't think that "location" matters;
maybe the economy can be factored in.
