I haven't tried it myself but a recently Vet told me to take any of my
personal T-shirt and put is on the dog that is frightened by thunder and
that this would create a calm atmosphere. I will do that the next time we
are at our place in CO, during the summer, as we get a lot of thunder storms
and one of my dogs is absolutely petrified by them.

I don't know the product, but I'm wondering if it could be
something akin to the Thundershirt or Anxiety Wrap. I'm
told these things were based on the same idea as that
squeeze box that Temple Grandin invented for herself to
calm her down during periods of extreme emotional anxiety.
Temple's "hug" box was, itself, largely inspired the
squeeze boxes used in cattle farming.
Some folks swear by these anxiety-reducing products, but
they didn't work at all with my brain damaged GSD. The
only thing that's worked for her at all is pharmaceutical
drugs. Sometimes, you really do have to drug something
into submission. :D
