Dawn, I looked back at some older emails I saved and found some on Vestibular Disease that sound very similar to your dog's condition. Here is a quote posted by Kay Springer last August: "The dog could not stand up, head was cocked and eyes swirling. It took a long time to resolve. The meds given were Benedryl and pred. Eventually, things were pretty much back to normal except for a slight head tilt. The worst was over in about a week and half but it was probably more than 6 weeks until things were much better. I was told that it occurs more in older females than males. Vets don't seem to know what causes it and just say it is idiopathic.
