I completely applaud you for your coming forward in this...but let me if I
may clarify, why there was a closed session (the vote was not) let us imagine
if we will the discussion of the former Review editor, loved, respected and
terribly ill. Imagine discussion of her personally, and why the need for a
closed session. As per by law a closed session in, and of itself is
(paraphrasing) for discussing individuals by name and / or items of a
particularly
sensitive nature. I am guessing that the Board being made up of Humane
people
chose to have the discussion of the Editor position, which no doubt involved
discussion of our dear, but very ill former editor....and to do so in CLOSED
session. Do you not think that was the respectful and humane move? or would
it have been better to discuss an individuals illness and problems in PUBLIC
forum?
