In this case that was not done and we all should be concerned if that was not done in this case, how many other instances of violations are there? ---------------------------------------------------------- First... I think it is completely unfair to imply that the GSDCA board and officers regularly and intentionally violate club rules. Statements like that only reinforce my personal belief that this whole incident is being played out on the list for political, and possibly personal reasons. Almost everyone is thinking that ... so there .â?¦ I said it. Now ... I will not downplay the importance of established policy and procedure. Obviously, structure is vital to the survival of any organization. With that said, I wonder how often policy and procedure is, and has been, "violated" by every board since the manual was written? Exactly how many rules are in that book? Who is policing every move the board and officers make to insure that the P&P is always followed to the letter? I've lost count of how many times I've seen this accusation repeated on this list recently. Isn't there club action that you can take to get this issue settled within the GSDCA, where the debate should have been played out in the first place? That is not to say that this issue should never have been brought up on the list, but GSDCA members who are also list members have not responded in numbers to this issue by calling for anyone's head on a platter. If they had, perhaps I would have reason to think that my viewpoint is off base and the constant barrage of repetitive accusations have more merit than I give them. Thank you for informing me of this situation, but if my opinion of the present board and officers was going to change, it would have the first time saw the information. There is no need to tell me more than once. I am generally disgusted at how politics is played in this day and age. I am tired of hearing one candidate tell me that the other is a bum. GSDCA political campaigns have almost become as unappealing as national political campaigns. I would much rather hear how candidates will improve my club, or my country, and I suspect I am not alone in that thinking. My opinion of the whole thing? .... There were problems with the Review. The matter was addressed quickly by a new board and new officers with every concern for the people involved. Things have been improving with the Review. Yes, I want rules to be followed and if they weren't then the GSDCA should address that, but this club had become stagnant and it was in danger of choking to death. If some of that was because of the rules, then some of the rules need to be reconsidered.
