Well, as far as testing goes.... I have a male Champion who has a CHIC number. We tested for everything possible, then at about 3 years of age was diagnosed with epilepsy. He now also, at age 7, has pannus. So much for testing. However, I will do the same thing again. I will test for all health issues I can. AND I will continue to voluntarily contribute to all research available. I can then say with all honesty to any puppy buyers that I have done everything available to me as a breeder. The rest is up to mother nature. The sad part is that there were people still requesting to use my dog even with the epilepsy. THOSE are the people we should be wary of. Not breeders who are trying to do what is best in their breeding programs.Dee Lauffer _________________________________________________________________ Get more out of the Web.
