This is what happened with my boy, he was micro chipped by me and =
although
the contract said to return him to me, he was passed on to several other
people and finally ended up in Animal Control. They contacted me and I =
was
able to take him home. I will never let my dogs ever go without a micro
chip. That goes especially for puppies.

I've always thought that if you bring a litter of puppies into the =
world,
every puppy must be microchipped with you, the breeder as the =
responsible
party. That would help the shelters locate the breeders and it would =
put
more responsibility back on the breeder (including puppy mills and back =
yard
breeders).

Of course policing this would be impossible and I can think of a ton =
of
horror stories that would come out of it....but on paper, it sounds good
IMO.
