Just got off the phone with the judges department with AKC since you all had me
second guessing myself.
This violation is definitely not for the bench show committee to handle. It is
an AKC matter, they do an investigation and make sure that there was a
violation then take the approiate action. As I stated in another email as a
Show Chairman I would take the complaint but forward to AKC and take no action
as a club. This is leaving you wide open to be sued. Having been sued once as a
Show Chair and my club sued, in court for 3 years I am most careful. This is
the reason I called AKC because I wanted to know for myself.
Take this case as an example, I think the handler in question handled something
like 7 or 8 dogs. If a complaint is filed and the bench show committee bars him
from showing his animals then the person complaining was wrong you might just
get sued. Not a good thing.
In the end the show giving club did the right thing by not getting involved so
lets not point fingers at them.
I am sure they did a great job of putting on some good shows and a futurity so
lets not jump down their throat.
They are doing good things to promote the breed and their club.

So, Candee is also in our club and was there, and she says she filed after
he first dog was shown, so I am mistaken. I am not sure what happened. I
ill tell you that our show chair had a death in the family and left early
nin the show.
