[ SHOWGSD-L ] Question about male behavior

My little bitch is on her way OUT of season, and my male (never bred) is
going absolutely insane. On days 10-14 he was highly interested in her,
however, now that she is coming out of season, he's WORSE!
Incessant whining, pacing around her kennel, even going so far as to run
into her kennel and lick at her bedding. He whined all night long last
night and the night before. He's whining and circling right now. He try to
take him out to exercise, and he's only interested in trying to find where
she has peed.
Why is he acting this way when she's coming out of season? He was
noticeably calmer when she was ready to stand and now it's like his head has
exploded.
