Just want to tell you that many Cavalier people take dogs on board in the main cabin in Sherpa bags......and some of the dogs weigh as much as 20 lbs. Technically a Sherpa fits under the seat, but I've never heard of anyone actually putting it there. No problem with any airline that I've heard of, but yes, Terry, it costs more than $50 these days.
