I'm sorry I missed this thread, but I have had many dogs do this. My old
girl I have now, 11, simply wouldn't be sold. From the minute she opened
her eyes, she watched me like a hawk. When people came to look at her, she
would not acknowledge they were there. It was embarassing after I told them
what wonderful temperament she had! She just wouldn't go! Now I tell her
I'm glad she kept me. She is the best puppy sitter and peace keeper dog I
could ever want. I wish she was about 3 years old again.

It happened to me with my very first GSD........she crawled up in my lap and
would NOT get down! I REALLY loved her brother.........but I would shoe her
away and BOOM,there she was again. Now, after almost 20 years of breeding I
have seen this happen time and time again. Pups are aloof with some people
and attached like Velcro to others.
SO many times I have watched as people REALLY like this one pup and the
pup........just basically ignores them. In the back round is this other pup
that does all but jump up and down........PICK ME.........YOU WANT ME! It
happened to Pat Evans, her article is in the new Review. Can some one
explain to me how they know they want this person? What is going thru their
little minds? They are babies, but yet they KNOW they want this person? Mo
