Yesterday it was in the morning when I tried.
I left the cookies and a few kibbles with her all day while I went to work and
when I came back she still didnâ??t eat them, sure played with them all day
long since they were all over the place!!! LOL
I sure agree with what you are saying that the PG sickness can be time related
but she doesnâ??t seems to be stable on those timing since this morning, again
around the same time I tried yesterday, she did take all the cookies I gave
her, a few kibbles, a bit of dry liver and her favourite treat while
pregnant.wieners.She actually took 5 of them!!!! So I will continue
feeding her different time of day!

Thank you so much once again!

Nadine, Question, Did you feed the cookies and liver at the same time you feed
her meals? PG sickness can be time of day related. She might not eat in the
morning but will eat at 1:00 in the afternoon. I had one that would not eat in
the evening but stay out of her way at 2 in the afternoon when the rest of the
dogs were naping.

I agree,

Those are also my usual normal rules; you don't eat, you will eat on your next
meal.

But with this girl, yes she might be playing fussy, yes the puppyâ??s and her
were doing fine when she whelp but she was really really skinny by that time
and so were the puppies, they all gained weight but it took a lot of days,
since you can imagine that for the 1st few days she didnâ??t have tones of
milk, enough I agree, but she could of had more (I worked on that part to help
with Fenugreek) and she start eating normally again after a few days, so this
is what I want to prevent or at least try to, even if itâ??s really hard, since
like I said 2 days ago, she did enjoy the biscuits and liver, took it all, but
yesterday, like I thought, she didnâ??t want to take them again, so if I go
with that rule (for this particular girl I mean, having experienced it already)
she will be skin and bones by the time she whelp and so the puppies since they
were much thinner then a regular litter with a female eating normally along the
way!

Thank you all again for your help and I will give some news in a few weeks on
what worked the best!
Have a great day everyone!

Terry you and Mo are tough <G>.  On the occasions I've had bitches get fussy
the last month, I was a mess.

A pregnant gal....an older dog who might be having health issues...my food
rules go out the window.

Anybody else who doesn't want/finish dinner, so be it, I can always give it to

is accepted on the morning of day 2 or 3. :0) Bitches that are packing huge
litters won't eat much at one meal so many small meals work best.

I have one for you guys. I have Margo who is 11 years old. If you put too much
food in her dish she will not eat any of it. You must be very careful not to
give her more than 2 level cups of food. If you do she looks at it and
says    (
amazing she can still talk at 11)    I can't eat all that and goes and lays
down
until you take the offering back to 2 cups. :0) In her prime she weighted 67

I have never heard of a dog starving to death that is being offered food
several times a day, Nadine. She survived her first pregnancy and so did the
babies. The more you fuss and keep trying new things and even old
favorites......the longer she is going to hold off, waiting to see what else
your going to pull out of the "magic food box" :-) !! Quietly offer her food
and if she eats.......she eats.. When she is ready, she'll chow down, I
promise. Mo
