I used to work for a vet in Beaumont that was the local vet for the local
Petland store. Oh the things I could tell you. The puppies that came in to be
treated for kennel cough, for parvo (at least 2 or 3 a week, and that was
a slow week), even had some come in with distemper. Those were the ones that
came in BEFORE they were sold. There were people who would bring in a
Petland puppy in after purchase, runny eyes, noses, cough, puking, diarrhea.
Those people would spend big bucks to treat the little darlings and I felt so
bad for the people and the puppies. The kittens were worse.
Upper-respiratory hades. Is it any wonder why we had a 98% survival rate for
Parvo at that clinic, we had all kinds of practice.
