Honorary or regular membership's to be given away are "out" of the bylaws.
There is no definition for something but the "one type of membership" which
requires application and dues, other than honoring pre existing life
memberships.
The board would have to discuss it and make a special case of this with the
majority in agreement, which would be beneficial to us all.
Perhaps a years subscription to the REVIEW and a congratulatory message
would be in order. Still does the same thing and gives the club a positive
goodwill spin on the adoption of the pup.
Tish, our bylaw expert, can probably lay out the best route to take ......
if this can be done or not......
