Does anyone else remember when the decision of who to have as the Review
Editor was to use some one who didn't know dogs, or German shepherds. It
had

such a lot of mistakes it was ridiculous. Our Review is now a quality
magazine, and the corrections are just something we have to live with.
Susan
does a great job.

If the world were perfect we would need no Review corrections. Then
again, in that world I would be 34 and handsome. I can live with being a
worn
out old man, and have mistakes in the Review.

Well Evan, thanks for weighing in on this matter. How lovely is your most
accepting stance on anything which is handed to you. Personally, I do not
believe the GSDCA membership should have to pay the kind of money that is
being expended every year for a less than a perfect Review. Perhaps it's a
Young person thing, but you should get what you pay for, don't you think??

OCCASIONAL errors are one thing... the kind of $$'s that are exhausted for
this publication, which is the in-hand face of the GSDCA, should have at the
very most, an OCCASIONAL correction. Not a regularly featured item. Go and
spend a little time and just look at that one thing, Corrections, go back
for the past 3-4 years. If it's the information that is being submitted
incorrectly, then there should be NO corrections published, it makes the
publication and the Parent club look bad and potentially erodes advertiser
confidence in submitting ads in a publication which has continual
corrections.

If the information is received correctly and has errors upon publication,
then it should be run as a correction. Too many of these problems need to
be dealt with strictly at the contractual level.

Additionally, how many articles are submitted and either not acknowledged
receipt, or not published. Before anyone says, "Oh my god... INNUENDO!..."
I have been made aware of at least 2 incidents where people submitted
articles, critiques, ideas for articles and were either not acknowledged or
the submission not printed. No acknowledgement of receipt is unacceptable,
IMO. If there are other incidents, I do not know, but... I am only one
person.
