Can�t take the extra 6 days to drive?
I would love to drive to the National, but can't take off an extra six days.
That is my problem.
I am looking forward to seeing good friends, (notice I didn't say old), some
great dogs, and have a fantastic time.
Yes, I will miss my dogs, (my Kierk dog will be there so that is special), and
will want to be back in the office dealing with problems.
But, the National is always fun, always some trouble, some happy folks, and a
few miserable. Some dogs won't work as well as they can, someone will come up
limping, and maybe even a dog or two. There will be food poisoning, upset
stomachs, twisted ankles, and a few tears shed.
It is life.
In the end we will have a great time, enjoy a break from reality, and form some
new memories to laugh about when repeating them in the future.
That is all I want from a National, and so far in the last 45 or so, that is
exactly how they have worked out.

Is it that time of the year again? I KNOW that we are all upset that we

have the rotating national. It�s a done deal for 3 years.
As we Legislative Liaisons say, write your�. (board member), don�t like
what
they do, vote them out.
We have all been in positions when something went kaplooey and the results were
not to our liking. I know that most of us simply found a work around.
Can�t take the extra 6 days to drive? There are airports within 3-4 hours?
We
drive 3 or 4 hours all the time to go to shows� at least in California. I
just
drove 2 hours to steward an obedience trial!
The National has been in October or November ever since I�ve been involved.
And
people with children did a work-around with the schools and teachers, is the
kids were doing good in school. It has been too cold, too hot, snowing,
windstorms.
I know that we can do better than spending 2 weeks just bitching and moaning.
That only increases the stress level and gets on people�s nerves.
I need one of those great meme to put right here. <G>
I love you all, I love this list (when it�s effective and helpful) but quit
bitching and moaning!
