I think the idea of an e-magazine is outstanding, but not unique and quite
frankly an idea whose time is past due. The idea of e-versions of club
newsletters linked to club websites has long been discussed and the idea of
an "e-version" compliment to the hardcopy of the Review has also been
discussed, I believe on the List back maybe in the spring-summer of 2005.
I would like to suggest that the appropriate GSDCA Committees/Board revisit
this issue with Becky, to see if she would be willing to make the
"e-magazine" available to the Review. I believe there is a desire and a NEED
for this adjunct service to the Review paper magazine and now that the
concept has become a reality, I expect the odds of success will favor the
e-magazine, especially considering the rates being offered. Let's face it, a
free magazine, e-mailed every month....it's going to get the attention of
the fancy, and the advertisers and the audience could possibly exceed that
of the Review, many times over.
My congratulations to Becky on "implementing" the concept...now I can only
hope it is not too late to get her back working in concert with the GSDCA
(on this particular issue)? IF it is, it is understandable and one cannot
fault Becky for being an entrepreneur.
This should not be about blame or fault, but rather, how can we all ( Parent
Club / Becky)benefit from the opportunity presented by Becky's efforts.
