all i can say is that on the one occasion where it went so far as a hearing,
the animal control officer, who had been SO friendly, turned into a version of
hitler for dogs. the only advice i can give you that i KNOW will work is that
Riley is never outdoors unattended - if you leave him indoors when you aren't
home, leave the tv or a radio on loud for him - not only will that mask some
of the sounds from outside that might provoke a (god forbid) bark, but it will
muffle any sounds that come from riley. i hate the bark collars because they
can malfunction, and have, causing the dog an immense amount of distress.
i've used a barker breaker, the hand held noise that only the dogs can hear and
it wasn't very effective. good luck - i will keep good thoughts for you.
