I recently saw an expose on the news about the statistics of animals who
died or were injured or escaped while flying. Scary. One beautiful dog was
featured who flew the "Pet-Safe" program and died after being left on the
hot tarmac on a luggage cart for 4 hours. The news crew mounted a camera
inside the crate of a dog who was flown and everything was okay with that
dog. Maybe they are more responsible when they know they are being watched .

Check out Continental's "Pet safe" program. We flew a male (in a 700) from
California to Newark,NJ. The cost was about 450.00 (one way). Have used them
before and have
always had a good experience.
