You are absolutely right, Carolyn. We are still living in a dream world like
"if it does not happen on my door step I won't worry about it". This kind of
mentality is in most of us. Paul and Stormy and many others have talked and
fought for many years, but it seems like it goes in one ear and out the
other - me included. I can see the danger of those supposedly in control -
and they seem to be - slowly but surely accomplishing what they set out to
do. It is very scary.
I know our leaders, the board included, will have to take a stand and unite
with all those that Carolyn already mentioned - with the rest of us behind
them all the way. Paul Root did a splendid job and Stormy is now keeping us
posted while the HSUS and PETA are having a hay day stirring things up.
I think the parent club needs to officially appoint one or more people to
contact and organize with those who are willing to "slay the dragon" before
he consumes us.

YIKES!!!! EVEN Montana now..........a State with not exactly a huge
population!!
These wildfires of outrageous bills are getting out of Control.
We need to become more united with other powerful Organizations that will be
affected
by this kind of stupidity to become one powerful group.
We need to become HUGE in our alliance and united with AKC, Dog Food
Companies, Pet Stores,
other animals, breeds, horse people, ranchers, Dairies, Pet Catalogs, K9
Officers and yes....even Vets.
We need to become like the NRA and become more PRO active in defeating these
outrageous bills and
develop some clout when we speak.
We need to get enough funding all together as a huge group that is affected
and destroyed by this kind
of Legislation to possibly pay someone like Bill Hemby and Lobbyists like
him that understand the issues
that can be pro-active in fighting this kind of war and that understand how
to function in the Legislative
corridors.
We need HELP.........we need to get mad and get Organized and become more
vocal and public.
These warnings and wildfires of outbreaks of terrible legislative nightmares
is not enough to fight back.
The small group across this Nation that we are...... is not enough to keep
up enough of the phone calls
and Faxes and e-mails to stop this.
We can't expect Stormy and Ginger and Peggy to be able to keep up......we
are not keeping up.
Grassroots is the mainstay and a big part of the American way to speak
up......but .....
We need HELP.......I fear we are losing........
