How about putting a sign up that says:
Breeding unregistered GSD's for second generation bad hips.

After many suggestions I think that I?m going to meet and greet!
Casually talk about the dogs see if they offer up the information that my
daughter was privy to and indirectly education them on bad hips and genetics.
If things go well I think I?ll also suggest getting more involved in the breed
by joining our club!
We?ll see if I even get that far.
