How would you, the judge, know that the AKC papers I produce are for that dog?
There is nothing on them that physically links them to a certain dog.
However, a registered microchip or tat would.

It would be a pretty good indication of ownership. If you produced the
registration, the Court would certainly consider it. If I were on the bench,
(which I do now and then), it probably would be enough for me to decide
ownership. AKC papers is another good way to establish ownership.
