Margaret P. Mickelson, February 8th, 1941 – February 7th, 2015
At 4:28 PM on Saturday, my friend Margaret “Peggy” Mickelson passed away in
Midlothian Virginia after a long battle with cancer. Anyone that knew Peggy
wouldn’t be surprised to hear that she was unflappable, strong and fought right
to the end. Her passing was pain-free and peaceful. Many will miss her
knowledge, candor, controversial editorials and above all, an apolitical
approach to judging. She was a true friend, mentor and an inspiration to many
within the fancy. Details of her Memorial Service are currently being planned
by her close friends and will follow as information becomes available.
Peggy will be truly missed…
