These dogs....I swear......Jackie got out of her kennel, but didn't leave
he room, instead she proceede
to help herself to all sorts of snacks, opened Dexter's kennel and then
ook a nap in our bed.
f couse, since Dexter is "perfect" we found him in his kennel....he
laims all the food wraps were an attempt from Jackie to frame him..... <G>

To add to that...... I have to mention Emilie Woodruff in Kamloops,
Canada.
She brought her 12 1/2 year old Boss daughter ....
OTCH CH.Windvane's Prism OFA, TD, TT, Am. UD,Am. RN, HT, to the
GSDC Greater Eugene show this year, and she had scores of 93 and 86
for her first two
Rally Nov. B legs. Emilie took her to Kansas at the National and I
believe she qualified
for her Herding tested at 12 1/2......and also just had a blast!
She is also one of the dogs that was found at the National in the Host
Hotel Lobby. No one
knows how she got out of her room, into the elevator....and down into
the Lobby looking for
Emilie. I recognized her and I took her with the people who had
found her and we found
Emilie in the Dining area......and Prism just had that "attitude" of
'WHERE WERE YOU'
when I handed her to a very shocked Emilie.
Prism was just radiating indignity at being left in her room.

These are truly amazing dogs...and there is nothing quite as
indignant.. 'with style' as an old dog.

LOVE IT!! Congratulations!!
Carolyn Martello always says that we limit these guys, they can go on
forever.
My TJ, BOM, CH Adrahaus Titian V Winddancer, TC, OFA, HT, earned his
HT at
10 1/2 years of age. He came along to some shows, there were some
herding trials
and we said, why not? Sure enough, he went in and did it, and did it
in style!
Judge was so impressed, couldn't believe his age and how good he was.
He lived to
be 13 and helped give Dexter some manners as a puppy....<G>
One of my favorite memories in dogs.....loved that dog!!!

This weekend I took my entire family of GSD's to a sheep and geese
herding trial.
I brought my 11 year old GSD "Bala" out of retirement for the ccasion
and she got to go
with everyone else. Years and years ago she had earned 1 leg on
ducks. She had also
recently recovered from a severe disc problem in August which
initially had her paralyzed
in 3/4 legs, and has left some residual deficits, but is happy and
pain free.
She had a blast! Despite the pouring rain today (Sunday), she
qualified in fine style in the
Started Geese class, and alongside her youngest daughter, the two of
them WON the class
and both earned their HSAd titles!! (They also both qualified on
Sat).
Afterwards she was romping in the fields with the others and SO
pleased with herself!
It is so special to see the old ones enjoying themselves so!
