I agree as all dogs should be house dogs and will never understand
why people own one if they do not do them justice as they all
need to feel they are loved.
It was a challenge though when I had 7 GSD's living in the house
for us to find a place on one of the 2 couches or chairs I had. LOL!!!!! They
could
come and go as they chose out their doggie door into their
6 ft fenced in back yard big enough for them all to run and play in.
Having 20 acres and 5 acres fenced they never felt cooped
up in a pen. Spoiled yes but they all had jobs to do and
they loved them.

When I got married, my husband was
not a 'dog' person. Over the years the
dogs have slowly grown on him and he enjoys a well trained
GSD as much as I
do. ALL of our dogs are house dogs (and all at the
same time). Recently
he came home from a dinner at a colleagues house who kept
their Chow chow
outside in the yard and asked me: "Why do people have
dogs if they're not
inside WITH them?"
Guess I've got
a convert! LOL
