I didn't want to be the one to post this, but I haven't seen it yet and I
think many people want to know.
Lori Hathaway passed away last night after a long battle with cancer. She
fought successfully for more than a decade, until very recently when she fell
ill quickly.
Her passing will leave a huge hole in the Northeast Shepherd world. Lori and
her daughter, Abbey Hathaway, of Stonewall German Shepherds, were an
inseparable team. To my knowledge, there will not be a memorial service.
Lori's first show dog was Sel CH Balsam
Biscayne V Wellspring (Cider), who went Sel 4 under Ed Barritt.
Lori and Abbey are the breeders of CH Stonewall's Incandescense ROM; Am/Can
CH Stonewall's She's Got
the Look TC HIC; CH Stonewall's Dallas; CH Stonewall's Cherry Cola
TC;? BIF CH Stonewall's The Perfect
Blend; CH Stonewall's Fast Lane; CH Stonewall's Firefly; RWB 2006 Can
National Am CH Stonewall's Cherry
Cordial; BIF BOM CH Stonewall's Esmerelda; CH Stonewall's Twin Cam
Traveler; as well as many more. Abbey handled nearly all of them.

Abbey will need help in placing several dogs in forever homes. Other show
pups and prospects will soon be available to approved show homes. A list is
