Thank You to all of you for the great ideas on how to wash my old man! I will
try some of these. Thanks also to Amber Turley for the great memories and
beautiful photos of her sweet girl, Bailey, who loved playing in the water. I
will bath Panzer as soon as I "pluck" the rest of the shedding hair. He
doesn't mind plucking as much as brushing. Thanks again!!
Bonnie

Dancer, who will be 14 in September is very frail and even to brush her, I
have her lean up against my legs. I lift her in the booster bath and she sits
when it's too much. She'll even lie down for a while. I don't let her get up
by herself, but lift her back up. Then I lift her out and towel dry her with
her leaning against my legs or laying on her side. The cattle blowdryer is too
much for her, but it's warm enough that she lies on the patio and dries off
nicely. Main thing, do it quickly, gently and she loves it.

But frail or not, she paces by the gate for HER turn for HER walk with my son
:-)

I was just brushing my 13 year old and wondering the same thing-he cannot
stand very long, and he gets grumpy if I try to make him stay too long-I
know he hurts. His back legs are barely working at times. Is there a
waterless foam or something that works well for the very old dogs? I believe
there's nothing like a good bath, but I don't think he can handle one.
Thanks for bringing this up Brenda!
