In a message dated 12/3/2004 7:42:28 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, Seger Wind writes: How many times do we see here on the list on the rainbow bridge of a young GSD passing? Way too often as I see it. Only because there is now a List. We just had a 15 year old Houston daughter here at Asgard, and the 13 club shows how many of our dogs are living longer. Yes, we do hear of the ones dying young, but the key is "hear". It always happened, and our dogs now are living longer, and healthier. Look at how we have divided the Veteran's class at the national. Just because we have a way to get information faster does not mean it is different. Our breed continues to improve due to the hard work of the breeders, and the success of our Parent club who continues to encourage better dogs each generation. Now if we just leave it up to the judge to decide how good the Selects are when judging the national, I can rest a happy man.
