I, along with a numer of others totally agree with Jim's post. Carmen may
not be perfect but he has done quite a lot for German Shepherds. Besides
getting the working dog events included with the national, he is the only
reason
that specialty clubs are able to have back to back shows today.
Originally AKC was only letting all breed shows do back to backs. Carmen
went to bat for us and got them to let specialties do it too. Other breeds did
not care as no other breeds have the number of specialties that German
shepherds do.
If we lose Carmen as our delegate we will live to regret it. It is too bad
he did not get re-elected to the board but I imagine that is greatly due to his
stand on working dogs and PAWS.
