This seems to be a trait that Pyrs, Newfs, and Ovtcharkas share, that rising
to Grizzly bear height , teeth, some kind of noise that defies description,
more teeth, slobber, an unspeakable glare and whites of eyes, and generally
about that time the intended target is either running for it's life or has a
sudden incontinence problem, lololol. Formidable, yet amazingly gentle
giants with family. Interesting opposition. Still, NOTHING will ever
replace GSDs for us, nothing.
The Ovtcharka is more like a first line of defense....a HUGE visual
deterrant, and if someone/something were ever stupid enough to come over our
fence...Good Night Gracie. There would little left for the GSDs to finish
off.
