I tell my puppy people to go to adult kibble at 4 months. So if he starts
mixing puppy and adult now, he should be on adult at 4 months. Many GSD
breeders I know, never use puppy kibble. I see no problem with the vet's
advice.
Most vets advise to feed too much, so I would be thankful he has one that does
not.
