[ SHOWGSD-L ] How my new car was protected by a GSD

I have several stories about the dals protecting me - living in the city,
you have a few situations.
However, the GSD haven't failed me either :-) I live in a rural area now
and if I need milk or whatever, I run up to what we lovingly call the Five &
Dime (people in a certain age will know this term).. Whenever I go to run
errands, I take a dog or two with me - mostly because they like to go and I
also like the security.
I had just purchased a new truck and was running errands and decided to stop
at the Five & Dime.. Simmie was along for the ride - in her usual place,
happily snoring on the backseat of my new Ford Escape.. When I stopped, I
noticed a guy in a car watching me very carefully as I went into the
store... When I came out about 5 minutes later, I saw him wondering around
my car at a distance.. I didn't see any "dog ears" in the window, so didn't
know if he could see the dog or not... Well, he decided to get closer and as
he put his hand on my door handle, the noise that came from the back of the
truck, could have been heard all through the countryside.... Simmie hit the
window so hard that the whole truck shook... The guy took off and when I got
out there, she did all she could to get out through me to chase him... She
grumbled under her breath all the way home...
Like the American Express card, I do not leave home with out her now....
