......selective breeding is what we all chose to do
in an attempt to find perfection......well guess what...sometimes we ALL crash
and burn....it's the gamble we choose to take!.....anyone out there that has a
sibling of Icon that wants to get rid of him/her........give me
a call...I'm willing to take that risk.....
Great post Ed :) I happen to be at the "crash and burn" stage right now,
sadly, and it is killing me. I HATE that part of this, as we all do, and it
is hard to get past it sometimes - at least it is if you are breeding for the
right reasons. Oh - and I have a sibling of Icon's (Miss Ruby) but no way am
I giving her up :)

...I know a sure way to never bred another litter with any type of health
dis-order EVER AGAIN.......let's all right this second stop breeding German
Shepherds!.....I promise that will work....and now let me say I mean no
disrespect to the Lister who posted about his dog's problem and I have no
problem with him posting the problem on this list.......but let's not kid
ourselves...every dog and bitch at your house and at my house has a chance to
come down with some sort of horrible disabling decease.....we accept this risk
each and every time we do a breeding...every breeder decides which risks he/she
is willing to take based on what ever information known ( or unknown) about the
history of the sire and dam......selective breeding is what we all chose to do
in an attempt to find perfection......well guess what...sometimes we ALL crash

money to Evan for the JR Handlers award cuz if you're still showing dogs in ten
years.....they will most likely be shown by one of these Jrs.......the old
handlers are breaking down, breaking bones, and getting older
everyday....somebody get me Zack's number just in case Basu blows out his knee
