In Canada we often return the ribbons to the club and they are reused, we
don't have to date them here so you can do that, but in the U.S. they are
dated so you can't really re-use them.

Ya know--I wouldn't laugh at that. At a CFA cat show, you get your ribbons
and turn them back in so they can be re-used! We turned in 6 on a cat that
won
his Championship and PAID $10.00, showed proper registration, etc, so that
his certificate could be mailed to the owner. And with these shows, you
enter
for the whole weekend. It is about $5.00 per judge. Whether you show to
all
these judges is another matter. It is approx $60.00 for a two day event.
My
last weekend was $66.00 plus grooming space rental and cage space rental.
And
WE complain of entries on our dogs! Of course we have other expenses, etc,
with the dogs but this was in reference to the "paper" ribbons.
