Great post Carolyn, and you have touched on an issue I am very strong
about. Have had people contact John and I to look at their dogs and give an
opinion. They don't always like what they hear, but we often do say " you
will get the truth, so don't ask if you don't want to know".
I can find good to say about any dog......good pigment, nice feet etc and
for a new person you try to serve the good and the bad nicely but straight
forward.
But I do dislike the pretence of some breeders that will rave on about a
pup to someone who has bought it, encourage people to show and literally
throw money away, who of course get discouraged and bad mouth the whole scene.
We can give our breed a better perspective if we are just straight with
people.....and realistic.
