[ SHOWGSD-L ] Handling for a Judge

As a practicing attorney, let me show you how foolish the AKC is being.
I have an agent actully a number of them to run my club, it is called a
Board of Dirctors. So, no board member or family member of a board member may
show a dog to me, nor may I show a dog under any board member who served as
my agent within four months of the show. That includes household members
or an associate of my agent. So, if Frank Frasano is elected, no handler
who was his handler, or associate of that handler, which would include a
family member, or someone he handled for in the last four months, can show a
dog under me.
It could get very lonely at the shows if anyone tries to enforce this rule.
And, yes I know this was not the intention of the rule. But, like a number
of the by-laws changes we are now faced with, there are unintended
consequences that have not been considered. That is why with a group of close
to
3,000 members with over 1,200 good brains, we should all have had a chance to
discuss the proposed changes.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
