My Goldbecker and Hart is Copyrighted 1955 by The Practical Science 
Publishing Company of Orange, CT.  It may be a first edition, though it 
doesn't say so.

There is no mention of Jimmy Moses in it.  Bet there aren't many GSD books 
that can make that claim!!  It is nice that my first mentor, Grant Mann, IS 
in it!!

Does anyone remember that from 1920 to 1925 the Grand Victor/Victrix titles 
weren't used?  They were called Grand Champions!!  I can't remember that far 
back.

I am delighted that you found it so rewarding. It was the first book I
ever read on the Breed. I had the distinct honor of knowing both of
them. Ernie Hart gave me my first best puppy win with the first puppy I
showed from my first litter. The dog was six months old and I owner
handled him to the breed at the GSDCof Long Island match over 150
entries. That was in June of 1966 and I still have the Rosettte. I met
Bill a year later when he gave the same dog a major Reserve from the
American Bred Class. Both of them were very helpful to me. Bill called
me several times and I still have a letter he wrote to me asking about
a puppy.I feel so fortunate to have had such wonderful guidance during
my formative years in the Breed. It also turned me into a very
outspoken writer.
