Guys, believe it or not, it does not have to do with integrity. Remember
judging dog shows is SUBJECTIVE.
Although trying to pick what in his opinion is the best dog, judges are
subliminally affected by many things.
They know ALL these dogs. They know how they are ranked. They have
personal likes and dislikes that
effect what they do, albeit subconsciencely . J.D. Jones has a HUGH
background in German shepherds and a tremendous love for the breed. HE has
put
Geneva up many times. He probably would have done it again, happily for the
benefit of the GSD breed. Oftentimes you get judges prejudiced in favor of
terriers. Why not one in favor of herding dogs. Do you realize that Manhattan
is
the only working dog who has won BOB at the Garden.
Don't you even go questioning the integrity of J.D. Jones. HE would have
considered every dog. And if he had thought one was truer to its breed than
Geneva was to the GSD standard, he would have put it up.
But he would have been WILLING to put Geneva up, while other judges would
not have.
