What I  find more shameful is professional handlers/breeders/owners
campaigning, and  promoting for public stud, dogs that test homozygous  
for DM.
Anyone who has  ever seen the ravages of this hereditary disease would
NEVER put these puppies  into pet, show, or breeding homes.

This game we play to feed our egos  is not as nice as some would want to
believe.

I totally agree.  As we all (SHOULD) know, our dogs would be just as  
happy at the ole swimmin' hole with us, on the couch or taking a walk  
as they are at a dog show.  And there would be a lot less drugging &  
dyeing too.
