Well I can think of a lot but so if someone is away for the holidays, forgot to
do it before they left, go to do it at the very last minute and can't because
the system is down and didn't get the memo about post date being Dec 31.
iIlness etc. I like actually Ken's recommendation no one loses their status
unless they don't renew after a year's time. With the economy the way it is
there may be a lot that just can't do it and have been members for years. Why
punish them and strip them of all the years they were a member. Or instead of
taking way the past years of membership just pick up where they left off if
they rejoin. If they stopped at year 20 and re-joined in two years again, they
start at the 20 year mark. There can be a stipulation made like they can
continue after a 2, 3 or 5 years lapse. I just think it is very harsh to drop
someone because they forgot or can't afford it one year.

I surely don't see any reason why people cannot get it mailed by Dec 31 as the
chair mentioned.
Then it doesn't matter when the mail gets it there as the postmark is good.
Everyone know's they are due before the end of the year.....and a reminder to
clubs, be sure your annual dues are paid or you could be in for a surprise in
the new year...

have many years as a club member that means nothing and you start over. I
really do not think that is fair at all. So because of the website's
dysfuction I think all the last minute payers : ) should get an extension.
