That is because the float WAS NOT ABOUT THE GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG!
The float was about providing Police K9s for agencies in need, sponsored by
K9sforCops.org.
They chose a GSD as the figure for the float.
That is why there were multiple different breeds of K9s around the float.
