I don't believe anyone on the board has mentioned raising dues (except
probably me today and I did not raise the issue at the board meeting). I just
used that to point out that while other expenses in all our lives have
gone up, we have not increased our membership dues to help cover them.
I was thinking about my telephone bill. I used to get horrendous
telephone bills when we lived in Virginia before. Then we moved to New Mexico
and
the 5 cents rate came in. Then it became nationwide for one rate. Of
course at the same time we started paying for internet service and cable TV so
I guess it worked out to about the same in the end. Well, until we added a
couple of cell phones to the mix. LOL

I smell a raise in dues coming down the pipe line and fairly soon. To
help support the 2013 World Trials?? Sorry but I just don't understand when
people are hurting, out of jobs struggling to survive and prices everywhere
go up, and not our pay at least not by much. Sorry just a pet peeve of
mine.
