[ SHOWGSD-L ] Fwd: Just thinking - breeders code and rescue

I was looking at the posts about the Breeder's code - and wondered if we could,
should put something in there about rescue and about responsible for life - If
you breed it then you have to be responsible for the dog for its life - and
maybe to be a signer you have to take part in rescue in some way - money,
transportation, foster, placement - something . . . .
I think that two of the worst places ?in the country (could be wrong) for
rescue are Georgia and Ohio . . . I was looking this morning? - this is just a
partial list - 24 - thats TWENTY FOUR that look?PB to me ?- 24 of the ones
listed and I didn't look at all of TN or AL or NC - and I didn't list the
couple in my state of SC - I don't know how any person that loves the GSD can
look at some of these pictures and not get involved . . . GA needs help and
pretty much RIGHT AWAY . . . . go to pet finder and look at Duke in Fulton Co -
a high kill shelter - he is a beautiful PB sable boy - or loook at any of the
others listed - and I admit you might be able to say one or two might not be a
PB - it can be hard to tell espically on the puppies . . . . PLEASE HELP THESE
GUYS - I know we all have our hands full with our own - but $5.00, or a couple
of hours to transport, or one more mouth to feed for a couple of weeks . . .
and please look at the GSDCA rescue site - see if that is what
you have in mind for that rescue group to do - they don't rescue like LHSH
does . . . is that what the membership has in mind for that group - or did you
think they did the same that LHSH does - LHSH is struggling/fighting/pleading
to find a place to put some of these guys -? Please go and look at these guys -
go to Petfinder - use the zip code 30301 and just look -? look for the guys
listed below . . . . .
