They swab the inside of the sheath just as going into the cervex of the bitch...I had a maiden bitch test positive after being on the fairgrounds where an all breed show was held...It was her FIRST time off my property...so the vet recommended culturing all the breeding animals...no one else was positive and I have never had it again...Treatment was 21 days on Baytril!
