OK -- I'm in La. and TABASCO sauce dribbled over it will keep that kid from mouthing. Also, it's a good idea to have "legal" chews available to deter the boring times in a crate. I've always told folks that a GSD is a "set of brains" and needs to be treated accordingly. The metal pans would rust and now these plastic cheapies are very frail. Mine is cracking and breaking apart after a year and replacements are almost as much as a crate. Joan's idea is great but what if you have one of those dogs that enjoy to nibble on them while in crate? Any other ideas?
