Zoe is right. The type of person who writes as an expert, and has no basis
for that opinion is doing so for attention, not to help educate others.
Most often they know they are not qualified, but can be engaged by others by
publishing such nonsense.
As an attorney I see this behavior all the time. The reward for those who
do this, is attention. Responses, in support, or in opposition are the
desired result.
It is best to ignore them. But, the temptation to respond is always there.
